Job Title:                  Purchasing and Planning Assistant

FLSA Status:           Non-Exempt
 
Summary: Assists Finance and Operations with procurement, material requirements planning and supplier relationship management.
 
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
 
  • Assist in planning and executing procurement of raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods and suppliers from global suppliers and contract manufacturers.*
  • Assist in planning and executing internal work orders to drive material flow and production requirements internally.*
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communications directly with XMA Operations, global suppliers and contract manufacturers, to confirm production/shipping schedules, and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on time delivery of high quality product.*
  • Proactively report product and material availability issues and works with Finance and Operations to mitigate risk.*
  • Assists with data entry related to Accounts Payable.
  • Completes special projects and assignments as requested.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, statistics with analytical thinking.
 
Reasoning Ability:
Individual must possess a high degree of creativity (out of the box thinking).  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel 2013.  ERP system experience is preferred. 
 
Education/Experience:
Associates degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or certification in progress is desired.

Position 2

Job Title:                  Director, Sales and Business Development
Revision:                   A
Department:            5.0 Sales
Reports To:             President & CEO
FLSA Status:          Exempt
 
Summary:  This senior leadership position is accountable to generate new sales by increasing new customer base.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing new business relationships/opportunities within the microwave and RF industry.  Also responsible for establishing and executing against strategic goals, which will also drive business growth and brand recognition.
 
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

  • Promotes and sells new business through telemarketing and suggestive sales techniques to meet and surpass bookings and revenue goals.*
  • Identifies and maintains contact with potential and existing customers as required.*
  • Work in collaboration with XMA Customer Relations and Marketing Department to expand XMA’s private label and distribution customer base.*
  • Establishes the company’s sales forecasts, polices and procedures.*
  • Manages incoming sales inquiries.*
  • Responsible to be the company’s subject matter expert for market and technology trends.*
  • Responsible to identify business development opportunities.*
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Sales and Business Development Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
 
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, ERP and CRM software.
 
Education/Experience:
 Bachelor’s degree (B. A. / B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Specialized Training:
RF/Microwave technology.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally frequently.
